Set Yourself Free From Guilt and Shame

Updated: Jan 5

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. (Rom 8: 1-2)

To be “set free” means to be forgiven and pardoned. You have been forgiven by the Father through the blood of Jesus. You are set free from guilt, shame and condemnation. You must also be set free from the law and legalism.

The law brings condemnation and judgement, but Jesus brings forgiveness and reconciliation. We release our conscience by applying the blood of Jesus, by faith. Our spiritual enemy uses guilt and shame to beat us down and doubt God’s unending love for us. Believers who don’t understand grace and mercy may be struggling in their Christian lives, feeling like they never measure up to various religious standards imposed on them through the law and legalism. To be free in your conscience is to have peace in your mind. The peace of God rules in your heart.

In Jesus name, I set myself free from all guilt, shame, condemnation, self- condemnation, legalism and self-sabotage. Amen
